We recently hired Sav Creative to rebrand our small specialty wood millwork company, as our focus narrowed to only timber frame work. We requested a new logo and website to better represent our mission. Savana designed the perfect vintage logo that represented timber frame perfectly with little input required. We asked for a lot in the new website with marketing being only one segment of our request, as we’re a very small company and needed a tool to save time, a central hub where we could send a perspective, as well as existing customer for useful information. We provided very rough and random information and Savana organized it expertly as she received it, while maintaining a website that would engage the busy shopper, without overwhelming with the details deeper into the website.
I would recommend Sav Creative to any company that simply needs to expand their market audience, or especially any well established business that needs a really useful tool to save time, inform customers, improve system organization and standardization, and save time for the important things in life. Behind the Design
This brand is vintage and intentional, exactly like the art of timber framing. The scrolls are representative of iron accents that are often included in timber frame pieces and the font is imperfect with lots of character, just like a good piece of douglas fir that will add character to it’s finished product.

Behind the Website
This website is the kind of website you grab a cup of coffee and use a desktop to view, and that’s exactly what I love about it. This website focuses on educating clients beyond what you can absorb in a couple seconds, from the history of timber frame, all the different styles of trusses and resources for existing clients to maintain their timber frame. It’s informative and robust, and has saved this client tons of time on client communication, not to mention drawing in lots of new inquires due to the search results it appears in.
THE brief
Timber framing is an ancient building form with a widespread and rich history from Greece to Germany to Europe and beyond. Throughout the 11th century, magnificent and complex timber frame structures proved time and time again that using only materials at hand could not only provide structure, but beauty and inspiration as well. Tim has worked in the construction industry since 1983; he started his own high end custom home company in 1988. During this period, he built and designed over 60 stunning custom homes. In 2021, Tim launched Cedar Ridge Timber Company to fill a need in his client base that can’t be found in Northwest Missouri. Cedar Ridge Timber Company is a shop-based production company that provides structural and decorative timber frame trusses and timber frame accents for existing homes, new builds and commercial buildings.
As a one-man operation, Tim needed a brand that established him as a trustworthy professional in his industry and a website that streamlined processes, educated potential customers, and served as a resource for truss designs, stain colors, texture options and so much more. Oh, and this incredibly talented man also happens to be my dad-so that makes this project especially dear to my heart.
