30 minute to one hour video call where we'll chat about your biz and your branding vision, and I'll answer any initial questions you may have. In the research phase, I'll search for competitors and inspiration, logo styles and brand direction you may like, and learn more about your industry, services, and target market.
This questionnaire will be sent to you via my CMS post-booking to dive deeper into the why behind your business, and what drives your passion for what you do. I'll ask you to dig into your ideal client, you business goals, and how your brand could reflect all this. Speaking of brand, I'll ask for color, font, and style inspo from you too to ensure your brand perfectly reflects your personality and business.
Consists of your business name, tagline, and brand mark in all the color combinations. You'll use your primary logo for most things print, digital and web related to market your business.
Alternate logos are color, layout, and style variations of your primary logo to add style and interest to your brand, and ensure you never get bored of your new amazing brand! These are great to sprinkle throughout your website, to use on merch, and are perfect to use for those hard to fit areas where you need your logo to be just the right shape.
Your custom brand mark is a great way to create strong brand recognition in an instant. Think of it like the image or icon that describes your brand which can be placed in the tiniest of spots and still be recognizable as your business. Think Nike's swoosh or Target's bullseye - you don't have to see the name to immediately know who it is.
A brand color palette is way more than just throwing pretty colors together and hoping they flow. Based on color psychology, industry norms, and your own personal flair, I curate a color palette that matches the vibe of your business and perfectly complements your brand.
Your brand package includes a selected heading, subheading, and paragraph font that you can use throughout your business to continue building that brand recognition. These are often the same or similar fonts that I use in your logo.
The brand style guide is a quick overview document that shows your primary logo, alternate logos, word mark, brand mark, color palette, and font selections at a glance. You can use this as a reference or even send it to businesses to ensure your brand stays consistent.
All packages include svg, png, pdf and ai files along with a "how to use your new brand" document that explains each file type and their best uses to ensure you're implementing your brand flawlessly. No pixelated images allowed around here!

I exclusively build websites in Wix for service-based businesses and Shopify for e-commerce businesses. Why? Because I've tried them all and found that these are the best platforms that work for my design process AND my clients.
Wix is a powerful, user friendly, and customizable platform that allows me to create beautiful, custom websites with YOU in mind. My goal is for you to feel empowered to manage and update your website post launch (although I’m always just an email away to help out with updates too) and Wix’s Content Editor allows you to make quick updates to copy, images, and links without breaking a sweat.
Shopify is a robust e-commerce platform that is trusted by retailers everywhere to sell their content and manage their customers. Shopify focuses on a clean user experience that allows customers to easily navigate your website and find exactly what they’re looking for. It also possesses a powerful back end management system allowing you to view client data, send marketing emails, monitor your website analytics, and so much more.
This usually does it for most basic service or product based business. Additional fees apply per page if more than five pages are needed.
Two facts: One-You are the professional in your industry. Two-I’m not a genie nor a mindreader (although I wish I was). In order to create an intentional, impactful website that tells YOUR unique story, we have to start with you. The content curation phase will consist of a website questionnaire and a content meeting to begin crafting the chapters of your story. The amount of work you put into this phase will directly correlate to the quality and impact of your website, so I urge my clients to brainstorm and write copy to their heart’s content, we’ll edit and revise later.
Depending on whether you’re a service based or product based business, I’ll design your website using Wix or Shopify, respectively. Wix and Shopify are called website hosts, think of them as the landlords that allow your website to live (for a monthly “rent” of course) on the world wide web. For 95% of my clients, I recommend purchasing the Basic Plan for $19/month for Wix websites. Feel free to check out what’s included here. For my Shopify users, the Basic Plan at $29/month is generally perfect for their small business needs. Check out what’s included here.
Next, you’ll need a domain if you don’t already have an existing website. The domain is quite literally your address, or your website’s “home.” This is how your potential clients will find you, how you’ll market yourself, and how you’ll be discoverable on the floating digital rock. Generally this is just your business name smooshed together (sonderdesignco.com) I always recommend purchasing a .com domain for the best visibility and trust online. You can purchase this domain directly through Wix or Shopify so everything is easily managed under one platform. Price varies here, but they’re usually only $12-$25/year.
I don’t claim to be an SEO expert because that’s a career all on its own, but I do complete Basic SEO and keyword optimization on all my websites. This includes meta titles and descriptions, alt text for all images, and ensuring all pages have appropriate links and headings/paragraphs. I also index your site on Google which allows it to be found in search results.
I write content for humans, not Google, so you won’t see me writing paragraphs just to bury keywords, but I’ve found this to be an effective strategy because the more engaged a human is on your website, the longer they stay, and that makes Google think “oh this must be a good website” so I’ll rank it higher on Google. Also good keywords just tend to arrive naturally when you're writing for humans, and that helps search results too. If you want to dive deeper, a great next step after website launch is hiring an SEO expert!
I want you to feel empowered and confident to edit your website. An up to date website attracts more clients, appears higher in search results, and is a trusty sidekick in your marketing endeavors. I’ll create video tutorials showing you how to manage basic updates on your website and I’m always happy to answer questions about specific updates you’d like to tackle.
I'm available one week post launch free of charge to take care of any bugs, quick fixes, or anything we may have missed to ensure your website is running flawlessly. Additionally, I’m always just an email away if you’d like to hire me at my hourly rate for website updates after that. I do my best to fit these into my schedule as soon as possible and will send you an invoice when the updates are completed and approved. An updated website generates more traffic, improves client satisfaction, and streamlines your day to day business processes!
